NEW DIRECTIONS IN ENHANSING THE POWER
OF THE INTERNET

The BISC-SIG-FLINT is planning to organize a workshop on Fuzzy Logic and the Internet during August 2001 at UC Berkeley, and invite a group of researchers (around 100) from around the world who are interested in advancing the frontiers of the Internet through the use of fuzzy logic and soft computing.The main purpose of the workshop is to draw attention of the fuzzy logic community to the fundamental importance of Internet-related problems, especially those centering on search and deduction in large, unstructured knowledge bases.
