Welcome to the BISC Program BISC SIG in Environment Management Systems BISC-SIG-EMS (Special Interest Group) focuses the application of soft computing to Environment Management Systems. The group is intended to be a communicating source. BISC-EMS facilitates communication between the professionals who are interested in the application of soft computing to EMS. There exists imprecision in the available data on environmental parameters and also in the perception of the experts involved in the decision making. Soft computing is, therefore, an appropriate technique to deal with these systems. EMS sub assumes but is not limited to the following areas: quality assessment, pollution control strategies, natural resource accounting and conservation, impact and risk assessment, life cycle assessment, system modeling & optimization and policy & laws.
