1. Perception-Based Information Processing, Analysis and Decision Making
Duties of Position: Develop models and software tool for information processing and relevant decision analysis using fuzzy-based soft computing techniques. Develop perception-based query and ranking model for information retrieval (distributed-multi-media databases) and search engines. Integrated the computational theory of perception into existing search engines and distributed-multimedia databases.
Qualifications: The candidates will work in a multi-disciplinary environment to develop new techniques based on fuzzy logic and soft computing to add a competitive edge to Telecommunications, Internet, and Bioinformatics applications. The position is suitable for candidates who have demonstrate excellent track records in Soft Computing/ AI and processing of uncertain large scale structured and unstructured distributed databases/sparse matrix.

2. Perception-Based Reinforcement Learning Algorithms for Sensor Fusion, Resource Allocation, and Decision Processing
Duties of Positions: The position involves advanced research and development leading to implementation in C++ of perception-based reinforcement learning algorithms for sensor fusion, resource allocation, and decision processing in an distributed and uncertain environment. To program automatically a team of UAVs and autonomous multi-agent system with a shared mission.
Qualifications: The candidates will work in a multi-disciplinary environment to develop new techniques based on perception-based reinforcement learning algorithms to add a competitive edge to UAVs and autonomous multi-agent system applications. The position is suitable for candidates who have demonstrated excellent track records in soft computing/AI/reinforcement learning and UAVs/ autonomous multi-agent system.

3. Fuzzy Partial Differential Equation Solver (FPDES) and Fuzzy Simulations
Duties of Positions: develop the next generation of PDE solver and simulation models based on fuzzy logic and Computing with Words. The project will include 1) state-of-the-art assessment of Fuzzy Partial Differential Equations and fuzzy simulation, 2) the development and foundation for Fuzzy-PDE solver, and 3) implementation of FPDE in selected problem areas.

Qualifications: The candidates will work in a multi-disciplinary environment to develop new techniques based on Computing with Words and fuzzy logic to add a competitive edge to solve PDE and simulation models. The position is suitable for candidates who have demonstrated excellent track records in fuzzy logic-based soft computing techniques, interval value PDE solvers, and processing of uncertain large scale structured and unstructured distributed data/sparse matrix.
